Abstract

SummaryAnodized aluminium was dyed with some commercial disperse dyes from aqueous solutions. The influence of increased anodizing temperature on depth of shade, rate of dyeing and finally fastness of the resulting dyeings obtained was investigated. An improvement was observed in depth, from small to excellent, apart from a few cases where it remained the same. No improvement was noted in light and weather fastness or in rate of dyeing, except for a few cases.
