Abstract
Method of the “impurity probes” is shown to may be used in the high-resolution investigation of the electronic structure of valence band in some wide-gap halides. The method is based on the study of the impurity-induced radiative transitions of electrons between crystal valence band and impurity core level under pulsed X-ray excitation.
