Abstract
• New experimental data on singular pressure drop and loss coefficient are presented. • Flow pattern maps are developed for downstream pipes of sudden expansions. • Eccentric core is observed at downstream of sudden expansion. • A new phase holdup correlation was suggested, considering the effect of core eccentricity.
