Abstract

Numerical calculations were carried out of the time dependence of the near electric field strength of an ionospheric loop antenna in the frequency range 1...10 kHz under the influence of a strong local disturbance floating in the atmosphere. A disturbance model in the form of a point source of energy was used. It is shown that as the disturbance region approaches frame antenna, the frequency and spatial resonant structure of the field strength changes qualitatively. Resonance near the lower hybrid frequency practically disappears, and resonance at small observation angles relative to the direction of the local geomagnetic field transforms into transverse resonance.
