Abstract

AbstractThe evolution of slow, irreversible, isothermal, second‐order chemical reactions between two nonpremixed species is experimentally studied in a field of quasiisotropic grid turbulence developing in a water tunnel. The experiments provide some basic data on the interaction between the turbulent mixing and the reaction, which tends to remove the mixed species.
