The induced axial vector coupling for muon-neutrino electron scattering in weak vector-like models

Abstract

The recent negative findings of parity-violation searches in atomic physics have enhanced interest in weak-interaction models characterized by purely vectorial couplings for the electron and muon neutral currents. Even for such models. however, axial couplings of order α arise already from one-loop corrections. We analyze these induced couplings in the context of ν μ +e→ ν μ +e scattering.
