Abstract
Background: An increase in childhood-onset Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) incidence has been reported by recent literature worldwide, including data from the EPIMAD Registry (Colombel JF, et al., DLD 2013). In our pediatric tertiary referral-Centre of Padua-Italy (representative of the pediatric population of the eastern Venetian territory), the incidence of IBD diagnoses has tripled within the last years (Guariso G, et al., JPGN 2010).
