Abstract

CIBS (corrections to an incomplete basis set) theory is formally extended to encompass coupled perturbed Hartree–Fock theory. Calculations of the helium static dipole polarizability are carried out for the first and second correction terms using systematically increasing basis sets. The correction terms are found to converge and the corrected polarizabilities are significantly improved.
