Abstract
During a previous survey (Froyd, 1959a and b) a former assistant, Mrs. B. E. Rogoff, noticed that there were remarkably few hydatid cysts in the livers of cattle infected with liver flukes. It was suspected that inspection had failed to reveal the full extent of hydatid infection in livers containing flukes, due, possibly, to human error or some other cause. A further investigation was therefore undertaken.
