Abstract

The TCP performance issues in bandwidth asymmetric network are investigated. Some related works to improve TCP performance are introduced and analyzed. A scheme using SACK filtering to enhance the TCP performance in bandwidth asymmetric network is proposed. An advanced SACK filtering scheme is introduced, which can further improve TCP performance by decreasing the size of block information in SACK option. Simulation results show that the new schemes have better performance.
