Abstract

The influence of a polyethylene cover and the detector thickness on the fast neutron response of a thermoluminescent aluminophosphate glass is described. This influence increases with the neutron energy; the responses of sufficiently thin polyethylene covered glass to 14.7 MeV neutrons equal its response to gamma rays.
