Abstract

Publication of methods or “how to” papers in the surgical literature can sometimes be difficult if the report is not accompanied by new or “landmark” findings. However, these reports serve a very important role and have always been important to the advancement of surgical science. In an article recently published in the Journal of Surgical Research, Karimi et al. report on the Technical Pearls for Swine Lung Transplantation [1]. In this article, the authors do an outstanding job of describing the technique of lung transplantation in swine.
