Abstract
The article discusses the relation of former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear to lessening insurance coverage disparities following the passage of the U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). Topics include the findings of an issue article about racial disparities in health insurance coverage, federal-state cooperation in implementing the ACA, and problems with health insurance rates among Hispanic/Latino people in the U.S.
