Abstract

The general view of People Management in the public sector has special characteristics, as policies in the area have been implemented in a way that brings into context the many theories and trends in Administration and organizations in general. The general objective is to present the importance of implementing people management policies in the context from an Institution of the State of Amazonas; show that this knowledge contributes to strengthening institution management. Furthermore, it should be noted that it is essential to develop people management policies to provide parameters for investment in personnel within the university. The research was qualitative, exploratory and through a case study, originating from a bibliographic survey. The objective as a result is to contribute to implementing actions that bring about changes, in a sustainable way, seeking to meet the organizational, professional and personal development perspectives of employees.
