Abstract

ABSTRACT This study explores the experiences of poor households who have been ‘left behind’ in their access to safe drinking water in Ghana. Using a cross-sectional survey of seven communities in the Offinso-North District, we identify physical and economic barriers that make it difficult for households to collect sufficient water for use. Efforts to leave no one behind in water access and use should target these barriers.
