The Implementation Degree of Recommendations Regarding the “Comply or Explain” Statement and its Efficiency via Cloud Computing

Abstract

Corporate governance together with its role of transparency and code enforcement done by the Romanian entities are relatively new topics at a national level. Based on a case study, we examined how entities listed in the first category at BSE (Bucharest Stock Exchange) complete the “Comply or Explain” declaration in order to analyze the degree of implementation of BSE's Corporate Governance Code. As a result, we considered essential to present some efficient alternative methods in completing and transparently characterize the included information. In the Internet era, Cloud Computing has become a significant research topic. The solutions it offers become attractive options for companies that want to improve their IT infrastructure in some respects, but lack investment funds. Its benefits, such as agility, collaboration, scaling and availability combined with cost reduction opportunities through optimized and efficient computing; attract many providers and especially potential customers. Our completed study revealed significant conclusions on the increasing number of entities that complete each year the “Comply or Explain” declaration.
