Abstract
Summary The impedance of the cadmium electrode in 10 M KOH has been measured over the active and passive potential regions. In the active region the impedance is consistent with a simple Randles' circuit, whereas in the passive region it is necessary to include an additional Warburg diffusion impedance to account for diffusion of species in the film present on the electrode surface.
