Abstract

There has been little critical discussion of the impacts of computing on architecture in recent years. Commentators have consistently failed to recognise the social component of computing technology, and as a result have been consistently confounded in their forecasts. This paper presents a social account of computer-aided architectural design, and discusses the potential impacts of computing in the light of this account.
