Abstract

Introduction: To study the impact of a vascular and endovascular simulation curriculum on attitudes and interest level of junior level trainees of a general surgical residency program. Methods: Twenty-three junior residents from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania undergoing surgical simulation for the vascular and endovascular surgery block were evaluated. The session consisted of both didactic as well as practicum components. The residents were taken through the conduct of vascular anastomoses, endovascular stent graft deployment and endovascular intervention.
