Abstract

The relevance of the problem under study was the changes that Ukraine's retail market and suppliers of Fast Moving Consumer Goods underwent due to the full-scale invasion. These areas suffered devastating losses, retailers and suppliers shrank sharply, and some were on the verge of closure. However, after being impacted, they continued to operate and quickly adapted to the new realities and resumed their operations. In the future, this will affect the whole economy of the country, in particular retail and suppliers of finished goods. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the war in Ukraine in 2022 on the future of the retail market and suppliers of finished goods. The impact of the effects of the war in 2022 on the further functioning of retailers, setting their prices, the range of work, and conditions. In order to achieve the goal, the analysis of statistical data, public research data, and surveys, analyzed scientific literature 2022, reports of international organizations in several stages. Main results. With the help of empirical research and analysis of scientific literature, statistical data, the main factors that affected retail and suppliers of finished products in the future were identified: the increase in prices of raw materials, labor shortages, logistical problems, damage or destruction of premises, lack of working capital, reduced demand, power outages. It was concluded that the stabilization measures carried out by the state were effective and had an effect on reducing inflation. Through the analysis of consumer prices, the influence of military action on their growth by 20-30% in 2022 was revealed. The practical value of this study is that it can be applied by retailers and suppliers of finished products to improve their activities and recovery from military operations, public authorities in the implementation and preparation of regulatory and legal acts, implementation of measures to help businesses, scientists in further scientific work.
