Abstract
Purpose: Walking exercise is a key treatment strategy for people with Intermittent Claudication (IC). Guidance recommends 30-50min of walking exercise, three times/week but adherence is often poor. The MOtivating Structured walking Activity for Intermittent Claudication (MOSAIC) intervention is a novel, physiotherapist-led behavioural treatment, underpinned by Motivational Interviewing (MI) and incorporating theory-based Behaviour Change Techniques (BCT), which aims to support people with IC meet walking guidance.
