Abstract

The aim of the research conducted in this publication was an attempt to identify the reasons for numerous resignations from participation in employee capital plans among people living in the area of Central Pomerania in Poland.The theoretical research method was used in the research process – an analysis of the research literature (using the content analysis technique), individual in-depth interviews, and statistical data.According to the research, the respondents have an unfavourable opinion on employee capital plans due to low trust in the government, legal stability, and a relatively low level of knowledge on saving for their future retirement benefits.
