Abstract

ABSTRACT The unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic serendipitously might have evoked an era of agility. In information systems development (ISD), agility has been exemplified by agile software development. ISD researchers have proposed that the term agility be operationalized by the ability to create, embrace, and learn from change. The dynamic capabilities approach is similar and focuses on sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring opportunities. Risk and opportunity intelligence, aligned decision-making, IT flexibility, and employee capability are critical antecedents of agility.
