Abstract

Objective To explore the impact of Specialist training system on the treatment compliance and quality of life of the elderly patients with COPD. Methods A total of 92 cases of elderly patients with COPD from January 2015 to December 2015 in the department of family bed in our hospital were divided into the observation group and the control group, 46 cases in each group.The control group implemented the regular health education and the observation group implemented the Specialist training system management intervention for 3 months.The treatment compliance, efficacy and disease-related knowledge one month and three months after intervention were compared.The changes in terms of the COPD-related attitude and awareness and quality of life of the two groups before and after one month's and three-month's intervention were compared and analyzed. Results The treatment compliance, knowledge of disease of the observation group was higher than that of the control group one month and three months after intervention(P<0.05). The attitude towards treatment, attitude towards health patterns, attitude towards how to build doctor-nurse partnership, attitude towards management of disease and other aspects of the observation group was higher than that of the control group after one month's and three months' intervention(P<0.05). The limitation of activity , symptoms of COPD, psychological and emotional status, self-health-relation, response towards stimulus and total scores of the observation group was higher than that of the control group after one month's and three months' intervention(P<0.05). Conclusions Specialist training system can improve the treatment compliance and disease-control rate of the elderly patients with COPD, improve patients' acceptance of health education system, contribute to the prognosis of patients, and improve the quality of life of patients.
