Abstract
The servitization of industrial companies indisputably has consequences on key competences and human resources management. This article will show how qualification profiles of machine building companies are affected by servitization and which aspects of servitized businesses induce new modes of working for the employee groups concerned. A comprehensive key competences catalogue for servitized machine building companies is developed and in order to show the current impact of servitization on human resources in operational practice, data from the German Manufacturing Survey is used. To conclude, two specific qualification profiles for sales and after-sales employees in machine building companies are elaborated in detail.
