Abstract

Mental health has become a hot topic of young people in modern life, especially since the growth of social media. However, the number of studies on this topic in Vietnam is still very limited. This study aimed to investigate the impact of self-esteem on life satisfaction - one dimension of mental health. Research data was collected through survey questionnaires from 301 university students in the North of Vietnam. Analysis by quantitative methods with the support of SPSS 26, including: reliability test (Cronbach's alpha), scale quality assessment (EFA), correlation regression (Pearson) and univariate regression. The results show that self-esteem has a positive impact on life satisfaction. From there, some implications for improving the life satisfaction index of Vietnamese students are given.
