Abstract

Retailers are interested in strategies that may strengthen a customer's purchasing habits and purchase store brand products. store brand products. Selling store brand products can result in higher profits and additional outlets for retailers. Therefore, the purpose of this quantitative study was to examine 300 managers from 10 retail stores in Taichung, one of the largest metropolitan areas in Taiwan. These participants were surveyed for their perception on customer's purchasing desire and habits for store brands products. A 7-point Likert-type survey instrument was administered to the participants to collect the data. The survey rate of return was 48%. The data was analyzed using SPSS and simple linear regression. The data findings suggested that store image of retailers do influence consumer purchasing of store brand items in Taiwan.
