Left atrioventricular valve (LAVV) regurgitation is the major cause of morbidity and mortality following repair of complete atrioventricular septal defects (cAVSD). However, the impact of different postoperative degrees of LAVV regurgitation (LAVVR), and thus indication for early reintervention, remains unclear.
