Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the significance of non-timber forest products as a non-farm industry in giving income and employment to Chhattisgarh tribes. The research was based on primary and secondary data obtained between 2014 and 2016. A total of 240 people were chosen for the investigation. The acquired data was analyzed utilising techniques such as summation, percentages, averages, and means, among others. In this work, linear regression model, semi-log model, and annual growth rates were employed for analysis. The study’s findings revealed that the CAGR for Tendu leaves, Kullu gums, Sal seed, and Harra was 1.90 per cent, which was negatively significant.
