Abstract

AbstractThe influence of work values on innovative behavior has been widely concerned and discussed. However, most of the past studies neglected the interaction between work values and organizational situation, or downplayed the realization of individual work values. This paper constructs a research model of the “impact of the work values realization degree on innovative behavior under the moderating mechanism of organizational career management” based on the Conservation of Resources Theory which emphasizes the impact of resources on behavior under the interaction between individual needs and environment. The data analysis of 412 domestic knowledge workers shows that the degree of knowledge workers’ work values realization positively predicts innovative behavior, and organizational career management positively regulates the impact of work values realization degree on innovative behavior. That is, when enterprises implement a higher level of organizational career management, knowledge workers achieve a higher degree of work values realization, then it is easier to motivate them to implement Innovative behavior.
