Abstract
Journal of Business & Technology (JBT) is an open-access journal published by the Department of the Commerce and Financial Management of the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka. The journal follows a double-blind peer-review process and is published bi-annually (January, July). JBT aims to publish scholarly research, critical reviews, case studies, practitioner reviews and technology reviews in the fields of business and technology.

The aim of this study was to explore the impact of heuristic biases on the decisions of individual investors who are trading at Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE)
To achieve this research objective, there were four heuristic biases which have been considered as the independent variables of the study that are respectively the overconfidence bias, representativeness bias, availability bias and anchoring & adjustment bias
Summary
Most individuals have to make distinctive choices in their lives, some choices are substantial, and others are of little consequence. Recent studies in the field of standard finance demonstrate that individual investors want to make their investment decisions rationally (Kubilay & Bayrakdaroglu, 2016).
