Abstract

The study aims to test the impact of leadership style on creative behavior through the satisfaction of civil servants in Binh Duong province, thereby proposing managerial implications to increase employee creativity of these workforces. Qualitative research was carried out using an in-depth interview technique with leaders of public administration in Binh Duong in order to adjust the model, scale and to discuss this research results. Quantitative research was conducted by a face-to-face survey and online survey with n=265 and 253 valid respondents. The methods and tools used include Cronbath’salpha, EFA analysis, CFA test, SEM test using SPSS and AMOS software. Research results show that leadership style has a positive impact on satisfaction as well as creativity behavior, and satisfaction has a positive impact on the creativity of civil servants. The research results are discussed as a basis for governance implications to nurture and promote the creativity of these servants. Moreover, the research results are also used to support suggestions to the leaders of Binh Duong province, developing and perfecting the appropriate human resource management policies in order to improve work results through the creativity of this contingent of civil servants.
