Abstract
Introduction - Residual venous obstruction (RVO) after deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is one of the important risk factors for recurrent DVT. There is a lack of evidence regarding the natural history of RVO and potentiality for full vein recanalization. The aim of the study was to assess the efficacy of electrical calf muscle stimulation (EMS) in patients with post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) and residual venous obstruction after cessation of a standard anticoagulation.
