Abstract

AbstractThe study aimed to identify the reality of e-learning in Saudi universities and its impact on education outcomes considering the COVID-19 pandemic. An electronic questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data. The size of the study sample was (200) students, who were randomly selected. The descriptive analytical method was used to analyze the data and come up with the results. The results of the study indicated that the positives of e-learning in Saudi universities were moderate, while the negatives of e-learning were high, and the e-learning outcomes were also found to be moderate. The results also indicated that there are no statistically significant differences in the reality of e-learning in Saudi universities and its impact on educational outcomes considering the COVID-19 pandemic, depending on the variables of sex, school year, and place of residence. While it was found that there are statistically significant differences depending on the university variable. The results indicated that e-learning outcomes change according to the advantages and disadvantages of e-learning.KeywordsE-learningCOVID-19Education outcomesSaudi universities
