Abstract

The power of the internet and electronic devices allowed the learners to adopt the insights of concepts at any time. The place denotes that the learning is not limited to one single place like within the walls of a class in school or colleges. It is accessible anywhere in the world. Thirdly, the path refers to that there is a limited way of pedagogy by the instructor. The modern interactive, intelligent and adoptive technological process allows the learners to equip knowledge on their style and make it fruitful. Fourthly, the pace learning system is not limited to the pace of a whole classroom of the learners. The student’s digital learning system is the blend of technological adoption, digitalized content and teaching. In these three blends of the learning system, the technology is one of the prominent mechanisms and creates the platform for delivering subject content. It enables the learners to receive the equipped content from the digital portal. This includes the accessibility of the internet of things, unique software modules and hardware, such as the desktop computer, laptop and smartphones etc. The technology is termed as the innovative instrument, but not the content of the teaching material. Secondly, the digital form of content refers to the rich quality of academic study and teaching material. These uploaded materials on the digital learning management platform are used to deliver the lecture through the technology. An empirical method of research design is used to carry out the present research study. Thus, the study is completely based on observation and obtain the data through the direct survey approach. The information obtained through the direct collection of data from the respondents. Moreover, the collected data is synthesized and compared with the basic theory or with the hypothesis framed by the researcher for the research study. Hence, the data is collected from the sample respondent directly, the degree of validity, results, and uniqueness is stood with real experience gathered at the field by the researcher. The direct survey method is applied through a structured questionnaire and distributed to the target samples in the study area. Chennai is selected as the study area to research the digital learning system because Chennai has many private, aided and government colleges and universities. The research would wish to identify the impact of the e-learning system and resources of higher education institutions in the city. This becomes the vital and valid reason for selecting Chennai as the study area to collect the sample and proceed with the research work. The purposive sampling technique is used to select sample respondents from the population universe. The outbreak of this pandemic required many nations to impose the lockdown. The impact of Covid can be visible in every compass of life to education, specifically in higher education. The nation’s widest sector is adversely affected to a large extent. The teaching, learning and evaluation method entirely changed due to the pandemic. The developing nations like India, virtual learning recorded tremendous influence on the lives of those students who are less privileged and comes from marginalized sections of the nation. It had several effects on the conventional teaching and learning process of interaction between students and teachers. The students from technically deprived areas of learning become vulnerable. The course of education and the curriculum methods are changed. The changes made in terms of technological transformation. Pandemic has affected immensely on the educational pattern in India. Even though it caused many problems, numerous opportunities also arrive. The government of India and the distinct stakeholders of teaching-learning discovered the likelihood of all kinds of learning by digital innovation. India did not equip enough to reach the entire corners of the country through the virtual platforms. The precedence must be to employ virtual technological innovations to generate a beneficial situation for a mass young people of India. It is compulsory and necessary for higher educational institutions to equip their technical knowledge to face the virtual digital classes. On the whole, the economic and societal recession have been impacted by the covid-19 pandemic by way of unemployment, the final year student severely affected due to non-availability of campus placements. The expenses increased for buying smartphone and laptops for online virtual classes. The impact would differ from case to case; the overall influence on higher learning is likely termed to be highly significant. The quality of learning by the student is also declined due to non-direct teaching by the teachers.
