Abstract

Objectives To investigate the impact of different blood purification methods on residual renal function(RRF) among maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Methods 132 maintenance hemodialysis patients with residual renal function were analyzed.According to different blood purification methods we divided into three group, low flux hemodialysis(LFHD) group, high flux hemodialysis(HFHD) group and hemodialysis combined hemoperfusion(HD + HP) group. Before the treatment and after the treatment for 6 months, patient's blood and urine specimens were collected, renal function was calculated. Results Renal function had no significant difference among the 3 group before the treatment (P > 0.05).After the treatment for 6 months, the 3 groups' renal function was significantly lower, and the renal function was significantly differences between HFHD and HD + HP groups and LFHD groups(P <0.05).but there was no difference between HFHD groups and HD + HP groups(P >0.05).Conclusions The renal function declined in hemodialysis patients after dialysis, the decline rate was lower in HFHD and HD + HP groups than LFHD groups and suggested that HFHD and HD + HP groups are better than LFHD groups in the protection of the renal function.
