Abstract

ABSTRACT The COVID-19 pandemic has notably altered patterns of physical activity, affecting overall wellness. A systematic literature review was conducted to discern the impact of physical activity on well-being during COVID-19 isolation. Factors such as demography, age, and gender were analyzed to understand their correlation with mental well-being during these unprecedented times. The review elucidates essential characteristics that played a role in shaping well-being in the context of diminished physical activity during the pandemic. This systematic literature review discusses the various characteristics that influenced the well-being of individuals during COVID-19 isolation. We examined the literature on demography, age, and gender, which experts consider important factors for understanding individuals’ mental well-being affected by various circumstances. Hence the current review addresses those identified characteristics that influence well-being due to the lack of physical activity.
