The Impact of Corporate Innovation Performance in Sustainable and Efficient Water Use on Reporting

Abstract

This paper presents the findings of a survey conducted in 212 manufacturing enterprises in Slovenia that used industrial water. We wanted to identify the potential impact of innovation performance in sustainable and efficient water use on water management reporting. Our analysis found that innovations in the organizational system contributed the most to corporate reporting on sustainable and efficient water management (B=0.824; p<0.001). Reporting on sustainable and efficient water management in these companies was also influenced by innovation performance in materials and technological processes (B=0.781; p<0.001). Both were strong and positive influences.
