In this research work we outlined the importance of computer science and information technology teaching. We explored the ingredients of the strategic computer science and information technology teaching that are vital to cope up with the rapidly changing technology and information technology paradigm along with its impact on the fast growing software industrial growth. We have also thrown some light on the ins and outs of the present day computer science and information technology curricula, and suggested certain recommendations for the curricula to fit into the current software industrial needs.
