Abstract

Objectives: Organizational commitment and satisfaction are both very well-known, popular, and crucial factors for managing the human resources of all organizations. Both relate to each other, helping employees to retain who lead to enhanced management. The study attempted to determine the impact of the components of organizational commitment on job satisfaction and to compare two sectors, namely banking and non-bank financial institutions. Methodology: The study was required both primary and secondary sources of data. A simple random sample method has been used to collect primary data. The survey was conducted with a structured questionnaire to collect primary data from levels of employees. Descriptive statistics, correlation, and regression have been used for analyzing the impact of the three components of organizational commitments on job satisfaction. Results: The study revealed that the affective components have a positive impact on job satisfaction. The continuance component has a positive impact on job satisfaction in non-financial institutes. In contrast, the continuance component has a negative effect on the financial institutes in Bangladesh. The research suggested identifying the factor of creating affective commitment, which leads to boosting job satisfaction.
