The Impact of Closed Incision Negative Pressure Therapy on Postoperative Oncologic Breast Surgery Outcomes

Abstract

Background: Closed incision Negative Pressure Therapy (CiNPT) is an emerging approach of managing closed incisions, which shows promising results in reducing the incidence of wound complications. This unicenter trial compared postoperative outcomes in women who received CiNPT versus Standard of Care (SoC) for incision management after oncologic breast surgery. Moreover, risk factors for wound complications were identified in this population.
