Abstract

This empirical study uses 2011–2021 panel data from Chinese A-share listed agribusiness11Agribusiness is the various businesses that produce, sell, and distribute farm products, especially on a large scale. companies and shows a positive association between climate policy uncertainty (CPU) and green innovation in China's agribusiness sector, this finding withstands intensive robustness testing. The study also finds that government environmental subsidies and environmental concerns positively moderate the impact of climate policy uncertainty on green innovation in Chinese agribusiness. The study shows that state-owned enterprises were more influenced than private enterprises. Green innovation in agricultural enterprises has a notably more significant impact in the eastern region of China.
