Rising temperatures, for instance, affect plant development, flowering, and fruiting, ultimately impacting crop yields. The effects of climate change are not uniform across regions. Vulnerabilities and adaptive capacities vary depending on geographic location and socio-economic context. Regions with fragile ecosystems and limited resources are at heightened risk, while regions with established infrastructure and adaptive capabilities have better means to mitigate and adapt. climate change is reshaping horticulture, presenting challenges, and opportunities.
