Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of business process re-engineering on the institutional performance of the Yemeni general electricity corporation in Aden Governorate. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, a self-administered survey questionnaire was distributed among the 419 managers of a general electricity corporation in Aden. Based on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), the results of this study showed a direct positive and significant impact of business process re-engineering on institutional performance. The study recommended that the General Electricity Corporation needs to apply the process re-engineering approach for its role in improving institutional performance with its various dimensions of internal operations, consumer satisfaction, learning and growth, and the existence of a positive relationship between them.
