Abstract

The researches of a vertical rotor with a ball-type automatic balancer with a torus-shaped body have shown its efficiency in the reduction of vibrations of an unbalanced rotor. At the same time, there is a problem of the acceleration of compensating masses of the automatic balancer till the working rotor velocity, for which the initial movement velocity is to be provided. The work has shown that the value of the initial velocity of compensating masses is influenced by the rigidity of a rotor elastic suspender and their size. The authors have carried out the analysis of the mutual impact of the given factors on the acceleration of the automatic balancer. The suggestions for the selection of parameters of a rotor suspender and the size of compensating masses in an automatic balancer have been given.
