Abstract

The aim of the study was to find out the impact of a web-based Quest program on the level of achievement of students in the first grade of computer science in Jordan. The study was carried out on a sample of (63) students in the first grade of secondary school in Madaba Secondary School for boys belonging to the Directorate of Education of the Madaba, for the academic year 2017/2018. The experimental groups (33) and experimental (30) were randomized. The experimental division was taught in the proposed program, while the control division was taught in the usual manner. The results of the study revealed that there were statistically significant differences at (α = 0.05) in the achievement level. The experimental mean of the experimental group (19.90) and the control group (11.88). In the light of the results of the study, a set of recommendations were presented to activate the web-based Quest programs for their impact on the development of student achievement.The study recommends using Web Quest to teach and embed the Web Quest in the curriculum.
