Abstract

(Abstracted from BJOG 2023;130:791–802) Although perinatal morbidity and mortality remain a significant concern among all populations, there are still few effective methods available to either identify risks or intervene to improve outcomes. Implementing a universal third-trimester ultrasound has been shown to increase the identification of infants whose growth is less than the 10th percentile, but also shown to not functionally improve outcomes related to stillbirth or fetal growth restriction (FGR).
