Abstract

The data on changing of organic matter structure during composting cattle manure and plant waste mixtures are given. It was established that the content of humic matter and humic acids in substrates increased. The decrease of the content of the hydrolysable part of the substrate was mainly due to hard-hydrolysable and watersoluble substances.
It was established that the increase of the content of total and mobile nitrogen and phosphorus and total potassium in the substrates is occurred.
It was found that organic matter losses depended on the composition of mixtures and reached 17 % of its initial mass.
