Abstract
The immunogenicity of pyridine-extracted ragweed, and pyridine-extracted, alumprecipitated ragweed was determined and compared with that of aqueous ragweed extract by several immunologic techniques. The results indicated that either the extraction of ragweed with pyridine alone or extraction of ragweed with pyridine and subsequent precipitation with alum may alter this allergen's reactivity in human beings and immunogenicity in animals.
