Abstract

[, In August 2010 the ILA Study Group on the Practice and Procedure of International Tribunals presented the ‘Hague Principles on Ethical Standards for Counsel Appearing before International Courts and Tribunals’. Although these Principles are not intended as a comprehensive code, they represent a first step towards minimum and common ethical standards and principles for counsel and other representatives of parties before international courts and tribunals.
